Onboarding Setup

The onboarding flow at /admin/onboarding walks you through the initial configuration required before the portal is usable for clients.

Steps

1. Database & API keys

Add the credentials the platform needs to operate. These are stored securely and only accessible to agency admin users via General Settings.

2. Google Drive (optional)

Connecting Google Drive lets the platform automatically create a dedicated Drive folder for each new client. Enable the toggle in Settings → Onboarding to turn this on.

When enabled, a folder is created the first time you create a client. The folder link appears on the client's row in the Clients list.

3. Slack (optional)

Connecting Slack lets the platform automatically create a dedicated Slack channel for each new client. Enable the toggle in Settings → Onboarding.

The channel is created when you create the client and the link appears in the Clients list.

4. Re-running onboarding

You can return to Settings → Onboarding at any time to toggle the auto-create flags on or off. Turning them off after clients already exist does not delete existing folders or channels.

Onboarding status per client

The Clients list shows each client's onboarding status. A client is considered fully onboarded when:

  • Their portal account is set up
  • A Drive folder exists (if enabled)
  • A Slack channel exists (if enabled)
