Data Assistant
The Data Assistant is an AI-powered chat tool on your dashboard that lets you ask plain-language questions about your marketing performance and get direct, insight-led answers — without needing to read raw numbers yourself.
Where to find it
The Data Assistant lives on your Dashboard (/dashboard). Look for the input box labelled "Ask about your performance…" near the top of the page.
Asking a question
Type your question and press Enter (or click the send button). A panel opens on the right side of the screen showing the assistant's response as it streams in.
You can ask follow-up questions in the input at the bottom of the panel. The assistant remembers the context of your conversation, so you can refine or dig deeper without starting over.
Example questions:
- "How is our Meta ROAS trending this month?"
- "What's our Google CPA compared to last month?"
- "Which campaign drove the most conversions last week?"
- "Compare GA4 sessions over the last 30 days versus the previous 30."
- "How are our email open rates performing?"
What data it can access
The assistant can query any marketing data your agency has connected to your portal:
| Channel | Example metrics |
|---|---|
| Meta Ads | ROAS, spend, impressions, CPA, reach, conversions |
| Google Ads | CPA, clicks, CTR, impressions, conversions |
| Google Analytics 4 | Sessions, users, pageviews, goal completions |
| Google Search Console | Clicks, impressions, average position, CTR |
| Email (Mailchimp / Klaviyo) | Open rate, click rate, unsubscribes, revenue |
It only has access to data that has been connected and synced by your agency. If a channel isn't connected, the assistant will let you know rather than guess.
How it works
When you ask a question the assistant checks what data is available, fetches the relevant metrics, and then writes a response. You'll see brief status messages while it's working — for example "Fetching latest values" or "Loading metric history" — so you know it's pulling real numbers, not making things up.
Responses are written in plain language and lead with the key takeaway. Numbers are woven into the explanation rather than presented as a raw dump.
Voice input
If your browser supports it, you can use the microphone button next to the input box to speak your question instead of typing. Your speech is transcribed and sent to the assistant automatically.
Choosing an AI model
Depending on how your agency has configured the portal, you may see a model selector above the input box. This lets you choose between different AI providers (Claude, Gemini, GPT-4o). If no selector is shown, your agency has pre-selected a model for you.
Starting a new conversation
To clear the current conversation and start fresh, close the chat panel using the × button and click away. The next question you type will begin a new session.
If you return to the dashboard with a previous conversation open, you'll see a prompt to continue where you left off or start fresh.
Tips
- Be specific about time periods — "last 30 days" or "this month vs last month" gives more useful answers than "recently".
- Name the channel — if you want Meta data specifically, say Meta rather than "ads" to avoid ambiguity when multiple ad platforms are connected.
- Ask for comparisons — the assistant handles period-over-period comparisons well and will flag whether a change is significant.
